Haripur 360 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project of EGCB Ltd
 

 

Construction of Haripur 360 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant and associated Substations are being implemented by EGCB Ltd., financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The Net Generation of this Power Plant will be 412 MW.

The Foundation Stone of this project was layed by Honorable Prime Minister of The Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on 20th March, 2011. Earlier the EPC contract signned with Marubeni Corporation, Japan on 9th February, 2011. Land development for this project has already been completed. Civil Construction work of the project is going on. This project is expected to be completed by July, 2013.

Land Lease Agreement  
Land Lease Agreement was signed between EGCB Ltd. & BPDB on 29 August, 2011 for 8.573 acres of land at Haripur power station area on rental basis for the period of 25 years.
