Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited appointed Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) as contractor for the above project under Asian Development Bank (ADB) fund and accordingly the BHEL is committed to follow all regulations and their corporate rules, ethics including environmental monitoring. 1st Unit was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 14 February, 2010. and 2nd Unit is under test run since May 26, 2010.
